We speak fluent legacy.
Based in Houston, Texas, Stone Age Software exists because the world runs on code that's older than the engineers maintaining it — and someone has to keep it running, and make it better.
Why we're different
Most modernization shops want to throw your system away and start over. That's expensive, slow, and risky. We take the opposite approach: understand what you have, keep what works, and modernize the rest in small, safe steps.
The result is software that's faster, cheaper to run, and ready for whatever comes next — delivered without betting the business on a single big-bang launch.
Where that lands hardest
Logistics, mostly. Houston moves freight for a living, and 3PLs, brokers, warehouses, and distributors are full of systems that were never designed to talk to each other — a WMS from one decade, a TMS from another, an ERP nobody wants to touch, and a dozen trading partners each demanding files their own way.
So we built a practice around it: 3PL and warehouse software and B2B EDI integration, using the same incremental approach we bring to any legacy system.
Pragmatic
We recommend the smallest change that solves the problem — not the biggest invoice.
Low-risk
Automated tests, incremental rollouts, and reversible cutovers on every engagement.
Transparent
You talk to the engineers doing the work. No layers, no surprises.
Domain-fluent
We speak warehouse, freight, and EDI — so you're not paying us to learn what an ASN is on your clock.
Let's talk about your stack.
Whatever you're running — we've probably seen it, and we can help.
